David L. Hoff

David L. Hoff, 73, of Ashville, OH passed away at home on Monday, Aug. 28, 2017. He was born on May 18, 1944 to the late Earl K. and Opal V. Burger in Canton, OH.  He was formerly of the Alliance, OH area where he grew up and raised his family.

Dave was a 1962 graduate of Jackson Memorial High School and also attended OSU.  Dave was retired from Consolidated Freightways as a Terminal Manager.  He was a member of the American Hosta Society and several local Hosta Societies, Aircraft Owners & Pilots Assoc. and the Mid-Atlantic Koi Club.  He also enjoyed hunting, gardening, traveling, country music and his dog Maggie. Any time the sky was blue, the air was brisk and the winds were calm, he would look up at the sky and say “Today would be a great day to go flying.” 

Dave is survived by his significant other Deb Bocknek; children Chad (Chrissy) Hoff of Worthington,OH, Dax Hoff of Dublin, OH, Mindy  Hoff of Hinckley, OH; granddaughter Olivia Rose Hoff and children’s mother Holly Hoff.

Visitation will be held on Sat. Sept. 2, 2017 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH 43103.  Friends are invited to join the family at home for food and fellowship afterwards. Online condolences at olivercheekfuneralhome.com
