I would like to express my sincerest sympathies to Doug's family, for their loss. I always thought alot of Doug. He was a good friend to all who knew him, as well as he was an all around humanitarian and he will both, be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

Doug's first venture into law enforcement was when I talked him into riding with me even before he could carry a gun. After that he was with me many a night and I remember years later stopping to help him on a fatal. He looked at me and said "It's all your fault" and I saw his smile and he said you talked me unto this.
Doug really never knew a stranger and had an easy going style that made him many a friend. His word was solid gold.
Remember as kids when both our dad's worked for Dwight Radcliff and there were only a few deputies. Spent many a time at their house on Franklin Street.
Our thoughts and Prayers are with his family and department. Chuck Wise was like another Clark brother to Doug.
