Marion (Buddy) L. Leatherwood

Marion “Buddy” L. Leatherwood, age 75 of Ashville, OH arrived in Heaven on

Thursday, November 30, 2017 after a brief illness at Mount Carmel West Medical Center

in Columbus. He was born on Sept. 12, 1942 to the late Edward Walter Leatherwood and

Mary A. (Rathburn) Legg in Ashville, OH.  Marion was a 1960 graduate of

Ashville-Harrison High School, worked and retired as a General Foreman from

Reynolds Metals Company. He was a former volunteer with the Harrison Township Fire

Department./EMT and also worked at Walnut Elementary School.

Along with his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by a grandson

Shawn Ryan Edwards and In-laws, Roy and Rosemma Kitchen.

Buddy is survived by his wife Caron S. Leatherwood; daughters Debbie

(Ron) Teeters of Ashville and Vicki (Doug) Moss of Westerville;

grandchildren Megan Cline, Zachary and Joshua Moss, Katelyn and

Madison Dixon, Spencer and Morgan Teeters; great grandchildren Mason

and Jordy Cline and one on the way, Karley Ryann (due on Christmas Day);

sisters Rebecca (Bruce) Sampsill of Chillicothe, Jennifer Elam of Mt.

Sterling and Regina Leatherwood of Mt. Sterling; sister-in-law Shelby

(Jack) Nungester of Missouri; niece Michelle (Sampsill) Spencer and nephew Steven

Short.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at

Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH 43103. A

graveside service will be held on Sat. Dec. 9, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Harrison

Twp. Cemetery in South Bloomfield with Paster Floyd Hubbell officiating. In

lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Mount Carmel Foundation, 6150

E. Broad St. Columbus, OH 43213-9924 for the Guardian Angels Program

            to recognize the ICU and Palliative Care Team who cared for Buddy.
