David A. Hootman

David A. Hootman, 54 of Gallipolis, OH and formerly of Ashville, OH passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024.  He was born on December 12, 1969 in Dover, DE to the late Charles W. and Helen (Custer) Hootman.  David was a 1989 graduate of Teays Valley H.S. and still holds some football records to this day.  He worked for Mueller Electric Co. for many years. 

Survived by his wife Katrina Mullin Hootman; children Trish, Becky, and Cody; grandchildren Kayle, Jeremy, Mason, Norman, Daniel, Kadon, Ayla, and Levi; brother Charles W. Hootman III, nieces and nephew Mindie Hootman, Eric James Hootman, and Jennifer Hootman; great nephew Kevin Campbell Jr. and cousin Don Custer.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 19th at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH 43103.  In Pennsylvania, Visitation on Friday, March 22nd from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 23rd at Herrick Compassionate Funeral Service, 951 Cliff Mine Rd. Imperial, PA 15126 with Pastor Steve Bryd officiating. Interment will follow in Robinson Cemetery in Bulger, PA. Online condolences at olivercheekfuneralhome.com
