Doris H. (Haughn) Beach

Doris H. Beach, 78, of Ashville, OH passed away on August 2, 2017 in Columbus surrounded by family.  She was born on Nov. 10, 1938 to the late Clarence and Wilhelmina (Jahn) Haughn in Franklin County, OH.  She was a 1956 graduate of Scioto Twp. High School and 1960 graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Education degree.  She worked as a teacher at Scioto Twp. Elementary and also at Columbus City Schools.  Doris also served as the Scioto Twp. Clerk for 20 years.

Along with her parents, Doris is preceded in death by brothers Wilbur, Donald and Richard Haughn and sister Margaret Contosta.

Doris is survived by husband Larry Beach; children Sandra (David) Rainey, Jeffrey Beach, Cindy (Henry) Logan; grandchildren Jeffrey, Jennifer, Megan, Hannah and Sarah; a sister Edna Sothard and numerous nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to thank the EMS teams of Scioto and Harrison Twps. for their care of Doris.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, 2017 at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W.
