John William Timmons

John W. Timmons, age 83, Ashville, Ohio, passed away Mon. Oct. 15, 2018 at his residence with his family and loved ones at his side.  He was born Sept. 11, 1935 in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late John Wesley and Sarah Elizabeth Fields Timmons.  John was retired from Norfolk & Southern Railroad. 

John was preceded in death by his parents: wife, Phyllis; son, Jimmy; sister, Margaret Zaug; granddaughter, Amanda Blazer; grandson, Bradley Timmons; great grandson, Jayden Armstrong.  Survived by; son, John Timmons, Jr.; daughters, Janet (Danny) Hanby, Julie A. (Jeff) Miller, Joni (Jamie) Horsley and Jonnie Michelle Timmons; sister, Elizabeth Goings; grandchildren, John Wesley (Brandi) Timmons( and their children, Jordan and Kiersten Spears,) Justin Moody, Jeffrey Moody (Shauna Spears), Mathew Timmons, Ariel Miller,  Aaron Horsley , and Molly Timmons; great grandchildren, Alyssa Moody and Sai Bounthisanh; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 12 noon until 2pm Fri. Oct.19, 2018 at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, Ohio. Services will be held at 2 pm Friday.  Burial will follow at Beckett Cemetery, Commercial Point.
