Taylor E. Lutz 89 of Ashville, passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on July 23, 1929 in Columbus to the late Walter and Carrie (Taylor) Lutz. Taylor with wife Fern owned and operated the Ashville Coffee Shop for 22 years and previously he worked for the former Reith-Miller Construction Co. out of the Carpenters Local 200 in Columbus. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a 1947 graduate of West High School. A member of Hedges Chapel CCCU Church and was an over 50 year member of the former Lockbourne Lodge. F. & A. M. Taylor loved feeding the birds, raising roses, washing his car. Years before he enjoyed driving antique cars in parades and also square dancing. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Marie Lutz in 2005.
Survived by his wife Fern A. (Dennis) of 62 years; sons Dale and Scott all of Ashville; grandson Joshua Lutz of Jackson; brother Phillip Lutz of St. Cloud, FL; sister Sandra Bunge of Las Vegas, NV; also numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2018 in the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville with Pastor Jeremy Hurd. Interment will follow in Harrison Township Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hedges Chapel 15495 Winchester Rd. Ashville 43103 or Mt.
