Alice R (Koehler) Woolever 89 of Ashville, went to be with the Lord, Wed. Nov. 23, 2016 at her home.   She was born on June 18, 1927 in Franklin County, OH to the late Christian and Rosella (Corkwell) Koehler.  Alice was a homemaker, seamstress, and farmed alongside her husband Royce.  She was a member of Village Chapel UMC, a 40 year 4-H advisor, 35 year Red Cross volunteer, and derived great joy from serving and helping people in her community and those in need.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband Royce Woolever (2005), as well as brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ralph and Charlene Woolever, and brother-in-law Donavon Smith.

She is survived by her children Melvin (Karen) Woolever of Ashville, and Joyce (Eddie) Shively of Ashville, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, sister Florence (Richard) Gartee of Florida, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends Sandy Petty and Linda Scothorn.

Friends may call on Sunday from 3-8 p.m. at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville.  Funeral Service at 10:30 am Monday, Nov 28, 2016 at Village Chapel UMC 30 Circleville Ave. Ashville, OH 43103, with Pastor Kevin Pees officiating.  Burial will follow at Reber Hill Cemetery, Ashville, OH.  Family request in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Teays Valley Educational Foundation towards a Nursing Scholarship, PO Box 146 Ashville, OH 43103 or Berger Hospice 600 N Pickaway St. Circleville, OH 43113
