Arthur "Art" R. Hood

Arthur “Art” R. Hood, 54 of Amanda, OH passed away on July 2, 2021,  at his residence in Amanda, Ohio. Born on October 28, 1966, in Columbus, OH to Dorothy Mae (Winter) Hood, and the late Robert G. Hood. He was a graduate of Teays Valley High School and worked as a Truck Driver at Blueline Food Service of Groveport, and was an auctioneer. Arthur loved his church, Centerburg F.W.B Church.

Art is survived by his wife Amy L. Hood; mother Dorothy Mae (Winter) Hood; children Marc (Sherine) Hood of Blacklick, OH, Mathew (Rachel) Hood of Crosby, TX, Megan (Ryan) Edwards of Yonkers, NY; eight grandchildren, Ryan, Grant, Dylan, Chloe, Kylie, Aiden, Zoe, and Amira; brothers and sisters, Dottie Sayre of Ripley, WV, Eugene (Cindy) Hood of Stoutsville, OH, Sharon Bethel of Amanda, OH, Robert (Lea Ann) Hood, of Ashville, OH, Garry (Linda) Hood, of Columbus, Roger Hood of Circleville,  Leola (Joe) Skowronek of Ashville, brother in law, Brian Danford of Lithopolis, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Art is preceded in death by his father, Robert G. Hood; sister, Dorline Danford; brother in law, Pete Bethel.

Visitation will take place on Friday, July 9, 2021, from 5-8pm at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, Ashville, OH. Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 11:00am with Pastor Mark Tuggle at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home. If attending, please wear a mask if not covid-vaccinated.
