Barbara J. Cummins, age 76 of Ashville, OH passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 at Mount Carmel West in Columbus, OH. She was born on Jan. 21, 1941 in Pickaway County to the late Eddie and Caroline (Kuhlwein) Pritchard. She was a graduate of Ashville-Harrison H.S. Class of 1960 and retired from Teays Valley Local School District where she worked as a bus driver for over 30 years, she had also worked previously at Scioto Downs. Barbara was a member of First Baptist Church in Circleville, O.E.S Lodge 440 in Groveport, a 4-H advisor, and enjoyed showing Arabian horses.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents and brother, William “Bill” Pritchard. She is survived by her husband of 51 years Kenneth E. Cummins; children; David (Donna) Cummins of Ashville and Kim (Tim) Welch of Ashville, sisters Carol (James) Graham of Columbus and Betty (Robert) Stickel of Estero, FL, brother, James (Teresa) Pritchard of Ashville, and sister-in-law, Peggy Pritchard of Ashville, grandchildren; David, Matthew, Madison, Maria, Caleb, and Alexis, 6 great grandsons, and 2 great granddaughters, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 24th, 2017 , from 11:00-2:00 p.m. at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville with a Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Billy Barbo officiating.
