Beulah Faye Spillman, 88, of Commercial Point, went home to be with the Lord on March 27, 2026 surrounded by her loving family after a short stay at Mount Carmel Hospital.
Faye was born on October 15, 1937 in Louisa, Kentucky to the late Ira and Maggie (Thompson) Preston. She married her husband of 55 years, Jeff Spillman, on December 6, 1956, who preceded her in death in 2012.
She is survived by her children, Jeff (Glenda) Spillman Jr, Brenda Eyerman, Mike (Leslie) Spillman; Grandchildren, Lisa (Jason) Wiseman, Scott (Christina) Shadwick, Jeff Spillman III, Michael (Heidi) Spillman, Brandon (Samantha) Spillman, John Eyerman III; Great-grandchildren, Hayden Shadwick, Leah and Abby Wiseman, Remmington Lee and Gunner Michael Spillman, Brandon Jeffery and David Frederick Spillman, and her bonus-grandchildren, Christie Cox, Troy Newman and bonus great-grandchildren, Isabella Newman, AJ Fox, Kamden Hill, Kian Hill and Waison Hill; also siblings, Ira Preston Jr, Joan (Burgess) Webb and Jerry Preston; numerous nieces and nephews; longtime family friend, Dorothy Brown and special pet, Goliath.
In addition to her parents and husband, Faye was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Scarberry and brother-in-law, Don Scarberry; sisters-in-law, Sue Preston and Sharon Preston and son-in-law, John Eyerman Jr.
Faye and Jeff moved to Ohio after marrying, to settle and raise their family. She was the ultimate homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother who had a lasting impact on raising her family, who was by her side until the end. Memories of food and family during holidays and special gatherings became cherished memories for our family though the years. She was known for her quiet, steady presence and always showed kindness and acceptance to all those who came through her door. Faye accepted Christ into her life and was baptized at her church, Lighthouse Community Christian Church. We know she has been reunited with Jeff in heaven once again.
Funeral services will be held at 12PM on Tuesday April 7, 2026 at Lighthouse Community Christian Church at 11659 St Rt 104, Ashville, Ohio with Pastor P.J. Rings officiating. The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM. A burial will follow in Beckett Cemetery, Commercial Point. Condolences and floral gifts can be made thru Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home (420 W. Main Street in Ashville). In memory of Faye, contributions to the Lighthouse Community Christian Church are also welcomed in lieu of flowers.
