Carl Richard Salyers

Carl Richard Salyers 54 of Galloway passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Franklin Woods Rehab Center in Columbus.  He was born on July 15, 1961 in Sandy Hook, KY to the late Darrell and Idra (Howard) Salyers.  Carl had worked for A&R Transport in Columbus as a Driver Specialist.  He is preceded by son Carl Richard Salyers Jr. (2003) Survived by his wife of 23 years Gerlinda (Plants) Salyers; sons  Richard (Brandy) Salyers of Galloway, Darrell (Amanda) Salyers Stoutsville; daughters Idra (David) Cleland of Lancaster, Trista Salyers (Jason Grubb) of Circleville, Korissa Salyers fiancé (Jennifer Barker) of Lancaster; brothers Eddie (Jane) Salyers, Ron (Lynn) Salyers; sister Wanda Salyers; step-mother Linda Salyers, many grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial gifts may be given towards funeral expenses.  Visitation will be held Thursday, May 26 from 6-8pm and Friday 11-12 at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH 43103.  Funeral will be Friday, May 27th at 12:00pm at the Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry VanTilburg Officiating.  Burial will follow in Harrison Township Cemetery, So. Bloomfield.
