Carol L Townsend

Carol L. Townsend, 77 of South Bloomfield, passed away at her residence peacefully on Friday, May 8, 2026. She was born on August 29, 1948, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Leonard and Frances (Anderson) Hardy. Carol had retired from the Limited after many years. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and also liked to play Bingo. She was a big sports fan and loved watching the Reds, the Browns, and the Buckeyes. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Jr. in 1988 and numerous brothers and sisters.

Survived by children Tammy Speakman and Kimberly Bercik, both of So. Bloomfield, Teresa (Ralph) Cooper of Waverly, and Floyd Townsend of Columbus; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; sisters Joyce, Jean, and Linda; brother John; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
