Charles E. Hines 87 of Ashville passed away on Friday, March 13, 2015 at Pickaway Manor, Circleville. He was born Feb. 15, 1928 in Pickaway County , Ohio to the late Rance Floyd and Myrtie Mae (Hinton) Hines. Charlie retired from DuPont in Circleville with over 30 years of service and was a lifelong farmer. A member of Hedges Chapel CCCU and was a graduate of Walnut H.S. He was a craftsman in wood working , making cabinetry and furniture. Also enjoyed going fishing. Preceded in death by wife Margaret A. (Cross) Imler Hines in 1988, a son Charles Wm. “Bill” Hines in 2006; sisters, Gladys Hines and Thelma L. Mast; brothers Wayne and Herman; daughter-in-law, Medrith Hines; special friend Ruth McFadden.
Survived by sons, Steve (Debbie) Hines of Ashville and Gary (Joanne) Hines of Grove City; daughter Janice (Jim) Morrow of Circleville ; grandchildren, Julie Hines (Ron McKinley), Laura (Dustin) Wymer, Adam (Codi) Hines, Brent (Staci) Morrow, Bryan (Erin) Morrow; great grandchildren, Rhett, Shaeden, Leighton, Raylon, Ian, and Callan; also numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Wed. March 18, 2015 at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville with Rev. Ron Reese officiating. Burial will follow in Reber Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hedges Chapel Church 15495 Winchester Rd. Ashville 43103 or Heartland Hospice 116 Morris Rd. Circleville 43113.
