Daniel Joseph Taynor, 70, of Ashville, OH, passed from this life and was ushered into eternal glory peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
He was a man whose walk with God, love, and dedication to his family left an impact on everyone he met. His warmth, generosity, and unwavering support shaped the lives of those closest to him, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He was born on October 22, 1954, in Newark, OH.
He is survived by the love of his life, with whom he shared 41 wonderful years of marriage, Diane Taynor.
He was the proud father of Paul J. May, Michelle (Stacey) Baird, Thomas S. Rowan “Brian,” Bethany (James) Vance, and David (Andrea) Taynor.
He was a loving grandfather to Caleb (Riley), Erin, Emilee, Keaton, Rachel, Brendon, Jonah, Makayla, Alex, Anthony, Nathaniel, Faith (Logan), Charles, Constance (Steve), D.J., and Connor, and great-grandfather to Renee, Elmira, Joshua, Ezra, Paula, Mykael, Olivia, and Taylor; precious brother to Frank Taynor.
His love for his family was immeasurable, and his greatest joy was spending time with them.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Dallas and Mary Jane (Morris) Taynor; sons R. Joshua Taynor and Daniel Lee Taynor; and siblings Michael Taynor, Steve Taynor, Jerry Taynor, Sheri Miller, and Amy Lovsey.
Danny, “luckily,” graduated in 1973 from Grove City High School, where his teachers used to tell him he could not earn a living by staring out a window. He would prove them wrong by learning how to drive a semi-truck and working in the industry throughout the years. He did indeed earn his living by staring out a window.
He led a life full of kindness, strength, and integrity. He was the backbone of his family, instilling the fruits of the spirit into his family and every person he came into contact with. He was a man who knew the value of hard work and had a heart full of love. He gave his time, his wisdom, and his compassion freely, and his legacy of selflessness and care will live on in the generations he leaves behind.
He was a faithful member of Meta Church in Grove City, OH. He was a dedicated servant, helping and assisting whenever and wherever he could. He was a mentor to young adults through driver’s ed, church events, and being the bonus papa or dad to anyone that needed it. Even up to his last days on this Earth, he still held his faith and assurance in God’s love, peace, and promises.
We will all be forever thankful to our Grandma Taynor for instilling the understanding and truth of following Jesus into her children, which they have instilled in us, so we can all, one day, be reunited again.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 1st, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., with the service at 1 p.m. at Cornerstone Church, 1565 North Court St., Circleville, OH with Rev. David Taynor and Rev.
