On Saturday, December 28, Debra "Debbie" Lynn (Nelson) Little, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cousin, passed away in her sleep. She was sixty-six years old.
Born to Lois (Booth) and James Nelson in Cleveland, OH, the family moved shortly thereafter to Columbus where they ultimately settled. Debbie graduated from South High School in 1976. Her love of travel and photography took her across the country with close friends, before coming back to Columbus where should would meet her husband of 38 years, John Little.
After getting married on July 23, 1986, Debbie and John were blessed with three daughters - Karina (d.), Jessica, and Samantha. Debbie was an incredibly proud and active parent - attending every concert, serving on the PTA, and even becoming a Girl Scout Troop Leader at Washington Avenue Methodist Church for several years. She was affectionately called "Mama Little" by many of her daughters' close friends who she drove to showchoir performances or bowling tournaments over the years.
Debbie worked several part-time jobs throughout her life, but mostly enjoyed her time in real estate. That is, until she became a stay-at-home grandma in 2015.
Debbie is preceded in death by her first-born daughter, Karina, her husband, John, her mother, Lois, her best friend, Katie Specie, her grandparents, aunts, and uncles. She is survived by her father, James, daughters, Jessica (James) Corbett, and Samantha (Dirk) Crist, granddaughter, Karina Corbett, and many beloved cousins.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Bill Henderson officiating at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH.
