Dixie L. (Zwayer) Cummins

Dixie L. (Zwayer) Cummins 85 of Ashville, passed away Wed. Nov. 18, 2015 at her home.  She was born on January 30, 1930 in Pickerington to the late Leo and Eveline (Wood) Zwayer.  She was a member of First English Lutheran Church and a graduate of Ashville-Harrison H.S.  in 1947.  Dixie had worked for Grange Insurance, the former IMC Fertilizer Plant in Circleville as an office manager for a number of years, and farmed with her husband, Ralph “Toppy” Cummins who preceded her on May 9, 2005, also preceded by sister Billie Campbell and brother Kent Zwayer.   She is survived by daughters, Shawna (Joe)  Kroll of Lake Worth, FL. and Gayle Cummins (Len Gibason) of Ashville; sisters Sharon Martin of Etna, OH and Jill Roese of So. Bloomfield; sister-in-law, Barbara Cummins of Ashville; very special friend, Sally Stevens of Circleville; numerous nieces and nephews.  The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6-9 p.m. at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville.  Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 23, 2015 at First English Lutheran Church, 94 Long St. Ashville with Pastor Joe Wolf officiating. Burial will follow in Harrison Township Cemetery, So. Bloomfield. The family request in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice, Attn: Lori Yosick, 1144 Dublin Rd.
