Doris M. Hartley Jones

Doris M. Hartley Jones, age 89, of Ashville, Ohio, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025. Doris was born on July 30, 1936, in Commercial Point, Ohio to the late Roy Williams and Maxine (Birkhead) Beckett. Doris was a 1954 graduate of Scioto High School in Commercial Point. She faithfully attended Village Chapel in Ashville and served her community by volunteering at the Ashville Food Pantry. In addition, she thoroughly enjoyed the fellowship that came with making noodles at Village Chapel and Scioto Chapel.

Besides her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her two husbands, Gerald Hartley (1994) and John Jones (1998).

She is survived by her children, Scarlet (David) Glick, Shellane (William) Bucher and Duane (Lori) Hartley; grandchildren, Evan Glick and Adam and Luke Hartley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Village Chapel, 30 Viking Way, Ashville, Ohio, 43103. Words of comfort from Elder Tom Heil and Pastor Kevin Pees. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Muhlenberg Township Cemetery, Darbyville.
