Douglas O Knight

Douglas O. Knight, 82 of Canal Winchester, OH passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Canal Winchester Health & Rehabilitation Center.  He was born on December 27, 1941, to the late Stewart and Margaret Pauline “Polly” (Jenkins) Knight in Wheelersburg, OH.  Douglas was a 1959 graduate of Valley High School, a Veteran of the U.S. Army, and retired from Western Electric as an electronics tester after 36 years.  He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Groveport.

Besides his parents Douglas is preceded in death by his wife, Carole Sue (Pickerell) Knight in 2019.

He is survived by a daughter, Teresa (Paul) Keathley of Indiana and grandchildren Lindsay (Cameron) Nunan and Justin (Lizzie) Keathley; brothers Louis Knight and James “Jim” Knight of Wheelersburg; nephew Bryan Knight of Wheelersburg; niece Kim Staten of Canal Winchester.

A Memorial Mass will take place at St. Peter In Chains Catholic Church at a later date to be determined. with Father Pete Gideon officiating with Inurnment to follow in the Church Cemetery in Wheelersburg.  Arrangements entrusted to Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, Ashville.  Online condolences at olivercheekfuneralhome.com
