Dovie E. (Ball) Crouse

Dovie E. Crouse, 81 of Hilliard, OH passed away on Monday, Sept. 17, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.  Dovie was born on June 23, 1937 to the late Nettie (Ball) Newbury in Buchanan County, Virginia.  Dovie was retired from Purity Packaging, was a member of Hilliard Church of Christ and loved flower gardening.

Along with her mother, she is preceded in death by husband Ronald E. Crouse, a sister Julie Gay Ball and a grandson Todd Syar.

Dovie is survived by children Ronald S. Crouse of Galloway, Lynette (David) Dale of Orient and Rita (Bill) Syar of Amanda; grandchildren Fallon (Jeff) Haug, Jamie Crouse, Jessi (Barry) Walton, Kenzey (Justin) Kullgren, Davie Dale and Tommy Syar; eight great grandchildren; siblings Lundy Ball, Shirley (Clarence) Owens, Harman (Carol) Ball, Sam (Barb) Ball, Kernos Ball, Velva (Horace) Thompson; longtime family friend Bill Stone and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21st with Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. Sat. Sept. 22nd at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH 43103 with Minister Danny Vanscoy officiating.  Interment will follow at Harrison Twp.
