Edward T. “Eddie” Myers, age 65, of Ashville, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born December 8, 1959, in Columbus, Eddie was the son of the late Kerr E. and Muriel M. (McCalla) Myers. A proud graduate of Teays Valley High School, Class of 1978, Eddie went on to retire from Honda of America in Marysville after 25 years of service, later continuing his work ethic with 7 years at Old Dominion Freight Line.
Eddie never sat still—he always had a project (or three) underway and was happiest when helping others with theirs. Above all, his greatest joy was supporting his children in their passions and goals. He loved water skiing and treasured time spent at Lake Cumberland with family and friends. In earlier years, he enjoyed racing go-karts and was an active member of the Central Ohio Competition Riders (COCR).
Eddie’s spirit was defined by his positivity, generosity, and deep love for those around him. He lived life with a full heart, a ready hand, and a constant willingness to lend his time and talent.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Kortney Elle Myers, and his mother-in-law, Jeanne Christman.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Jody C. (French) Myers; children Cody Beck of Ashville and Bailey Myers (Blaine) of Hilliard; sister Debbie (Don) Peters of Lockbourne and brother David (Nancy) Myers of Obetz; father-in-law Daniel Christman; brother-in-law Joe (Carma) French; sister-in-law Tracey (Bryan) Barrett; numerous nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. He is also survived by his loyal best friend and companion, Butler, who rarely left his side.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at The Naz Church, 4770 Hoover Rd., Grove City, Ohio. Pastor Owen Stotts will officiate. Arrangements by Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to The James Cancer Hospital and OSU Wexner Medical Center for the exceptional care, compassion, and support shown to Eddie and our entire family.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to:
