Frances “Dutch” L. Moss, age 94, of Circleville, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016 at Pickaway Manor, Circleville. Frances was born October 30, 1921 to the late Turney and Cholorus (Lutz) Mowery and had been a bus driver for Teays Valley Schools and was a long time farmer along with her husband Charles. Frances was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church, had been a 5 yr. member of the Louise Terrace Board of Directors, worked with the Pickaway County Board of Elections and was also a member of the Scioto Valley Grange.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Moss; a son, Charles “Toad” Moss; a daughter, Linda Jo Moss; brothers, John and Marion Mowery and a sister Alice Fellenstein. Surviving Dutch are daughters , Judy (James) McCord of Dublin and Nina (Charles) Southall of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Doug (Vicki) Moss, Michael (Lori) Moss, Heidi Moss, Mariah Moss, Heather (Patrick) Milligan, Megan (Troy) Schaffernocker, Erin (Eric) Kmetz, Gavin McCord, Kate (Zachary) Jones and Kelly Southall; great grandchildren, Zach, Josh, Lee, Mackenzie, Ryan , Colin, Tyler, Ethan, Ava, Wren and Willa, daughters-in-law, Carolyn Moss, Suzanne Moss, and also numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at time 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, Ohio with Pastor Ty Myers officiating. Interment will follow at Reber Hill Cemetery, Ashville. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory to: Harrison Twp.
