G. Ann Rathburn

G. Ann Rathburn, age 97, of Ashville, formerly of Gallipolis, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016 at Pickaway Manor, Circleville. Ann was born June 22, 1919 to George and Susie (Lewis) Veith and had retired from Gallipolis State Institute after 30 years and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Gallipolis.
Ann was preceded by her husband Carl L. Rathburn (July 2005); son, Danny Joe Rathburn; brothers George Jr., Frank and John Veith; and sister Hetty Hampshire.
She is survived by son Larry L. (Janet) Rathburn of Ashville; grandchildren, Kathy(Danny) Clark of Laurelville, Dennis(Vickie) Rathburn of Ashville, Vickey(Bill) Pettibone of Plain City, Mary Jane(Tim) Preece of South Bloomfield, 11 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Nancy Rathburn of Canal Winchester
Private graveside services were held Thurs. Oct. 20, 2016 at Reber Hill Cemetery, Ashville with Pastor Frank Waters. Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home is serving the family.
