Gale Eugene Vincent

Gale Vincent, age 73, of Lancaster passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Fairfield Medical Center.

Gale was born on January 16, 1952, in Columbus, OH to John and Helen (Ward) Vincent. He worked as a dietary assistant at Winchester Place for 25 years. Gale really loved to decorate, and enjoyed crafting and yard "saling". He loved "porch sitting" with loved ones, and he liked being outdoors gardening and planting. His favorite holiday was Christmas. He loved baking Christmas cookies. And nothing meant more to him than having his entire family together for the holidays. He was a loving soul, who shared his gratitude with many people.

He is survived by his husband of 30 years, Jim Jauch; children, Lannie (John) Predmore and Shelly Vincent, both of Lancaster, Joe (Glenda) Vincent, of Reynoldsburg, special daughter, Karla Schmidt, of Columbus Angela Hammond, of Columbus; grandchildren, Brianna, DeJon, Raaliyah, Nathan, Kierra, Grace, Nick, Frank, Troy, Devonna, and Olivia; and many great grandchildren; sister, Cathy Hayburn, of Chillicothe; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; special best cousins, Loretta and Junette. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends on Friday January 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, with Rev. Paul K. Fowler.
