Garland Moore Jr.

Garland Moore Jr. 89 of Ashville, OH passed away at home on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. He was born on March 25, 1937 to the late Garland and Vesta (Francis) Moore Sr. in McCarr, Pike County, KY. Garland was a U.S. Air Force veteran and worked in receiving as a Warehouse Specialist for Big Lots. He enjoyed his family, music and taking pictures.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Gladys Faye (Fletcher); son Mark (Sonja) Moore; daughter Donna Vicars (Bill Abrams); grandchildren Mark (Kari) Moore, Lisa (Kasey) Beechler, Austin (Hilary) Vicars, Michael (Mercedez) Vicars; 3 great grandchildren Clyde and David Vicars, Everly Moore; numerous brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-1:00 p.m. followed by Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 4th at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH 43103. Interment with AMVETS Military Service will follow at Jackson Township Cemetery.
