Genetta R (Bailey) Middleton

Genetta R. (Bailey) Middleton, 86 of Ashville, OH passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Ohio Health Berger Hospital Circleville, OH.  Born on July 24, 1937 in Grahn, KY (Carter Co.) to the late Rant and Dora Ellen (Knipp) Bailey. She attended Olive Hill H.S. Also attended Little Angel Church in Groveport and Macedonia Church in Kentucky. Genetta enjoyed taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Jack Middleton in 2014, grandsons Jackie Dean Middleton II in 2018 and Jason Dyer in 2020; brother Harold, her sisters Inetta, Vivian, and Betty; son-in-law Alan Fields and a nephew Michael Johnson.

Survived by children, Jack Middleton of Chillicothe, Sharon (Craig) Dyer of Thornville, Anita Fields of Circleville, Leona Walker of Crooksville, and James (Laura) Middleton of New Straitsville; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday. Dec. 6th from 5-8 p.m. at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH.  Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 7th at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, 5640 Dutch Ridge Rd. New Straitsville, OH with Rev.
