George R Coon

George Rolland Coon, 95 of Lockbourne, OH, passed away at Canal Winchester Rehabilitation Center on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. He was born on October 21, 1926 to the late Charles and Murl Coon. He was a graduate of Hamilton High School and The Ohio State University. He was a WWII Navy veteran and was an Accountant at 3-C Lumber before retiring. George was an avid winemaker, won many awards for ballroom dancing, and was a world traveler.

He is survived by his brother; Ralph Coon of Lockbourne, sister; Leta Frazier of Commercial Point, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home of Ashville from 10:00-11:00am Tuesday, September 6, 2022. A graveside service will follow at 12:00 p.m. on Fernwood Cemetery in Lockbourne, Ohio.
