Gloria “Jeanne” Christman, 72, of Tower Hill, IL and formerly of Columbus passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on June 20, 1943 in Decatur, IL daughter of the late Thomas and Grace Mary (Blenstein) McCoy. She was a homemaker and had previously worked at Bath and Body Works in Columbus for a number of years. Jeanne enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. The last four years have been a struggle for Jeanne, but it has made the family much closer and appreciative of one another. Survived by her husband of 17 years, Daniel Lee Christman of Tower Hill; son Joe (Carma) French of Newark, OH; daughters Tracey Gerber of Newark, OH and Jody (Eddie) Myers of Ashville, OH; stepson… Danny Ross (Michelle) Christman of Sidney, IL; stepdaughters Malinda (Tom) DuBois of Mustang, OK and Mallissa (Frank) Taylor of Taylorville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Debbie (Dwight) McDaniels of Robinson, IL; brother Jack (Linda) McCoy of Bowling Green, KY.
In Lieu of Flowers, contributions may be made to Pelotonia “The Ride” cancer research at Ohio State University, www.pelotonia.org/jodymyers.com or www.pelotonia.org/traceygerber.com The family would like to thank Dr. Esparaz of Cancer Care of Decatur, The James Cancer Center at Ohio State, all the nurses and staff at Pana Hospital and especially Quad City Hospice Care in Pana . Jeanne’s wishes were for cremation to take place. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on June 4th, 2016 at Leave A Mark Church 4818 Parsons Ave. Columbus, OH with Thomas Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
