Isaac Martin Malphrus

Isaac Martin Malphrus, 24, of Lockbourne, OH, passed away July 7 2021. He was born November 12, 1996 in Statesboro, Georgia, to Martin and Jodi (Holman) Malphrus. Isaac was a graduate of Teays Valley High School and was a Petty Officer Third Class (MK3), United States Coast Guard of Station Sandy Hook, New Jersey. Family, especially Finn and Emily, were the most important things in Isaac’s life, and he loved spending time with them and being Finn’s dad. He was also a handyman, and there was no problem he couldn’t fix with enough time, energy, and duct tape. Isaac was also a musician, and we will never forget how much fun he had whenever he was in front of a drum set. Finally, he was a devoted friend and crewmate, who wanted nothing more than to be surrounded by his friends, whether playing video games, shooting, or just simply hanging around a fire pit laughing.

Isaac leaves behind his wife ,Emily (Ackison) Malphrus and infant son, Finn Malphrus; parents Martin and Jodi (Holman) Malphrus of Lockbourne, OH; brothers Jericho (Niki) Malphrus, Levi Malphrus (fiance Megan Tussing) of Lockbourne,OH; grandparents Jerry and Cindy Holman of Lockbourne,OH, grandmother “Mama” Patricia Malphrus of Ridgeland, South Carolina, great grandparents, J. Neil and Thelma Rowland of Washington CH, OH, as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, and niece.

Visitation will take place Friday, July 16, 2021 from 2-8 pm at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville,OH.43103. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, July 17,2021 at 10am with Pastor Jerry Holman at Oliver-Cheek Funeral home.
