James B. Howard

James B.  Howard, 84 of Circleville, OH passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 in Morgantown, KY.   He was born on July 25, 1939 to the late Ova and Roxie (Risner) Howard in Magoffin County, KY.    He served in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany.  He had worked as a Train Engineer for Conrail Railroad.  He had previously owned Jimmy Jo’s Pizza in Amanda.  James enjoyed model trains and planes.

James is preceded in death by wife of 53 years Joanne (Hopkins) Howard in 2012; son Rick Lee Howard; brothers William, Gary and Roger; sister Rose.

He is survived by sons Bernie Howard (Connie Robinson) and Norm Howard, both of Circleville; grandchildren Bernie Jr., Norman Jr., Anthony, Kathryn, Jacklyn, Meagan, Conner Robinson; great grandson Aiden Howard; brother Lundy Howard of Waverly,

Visitation will be held from 12 Noon to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 1st with Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m.at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville.  Military Honors and Interment will follow at Reber Hill Cemetery, Ashville. Online condolences at olivercheekfuneralhome.com
