James William "Jim" Finch 84 of Commercial Point, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Logan Elm Health Care Center, Circleville. He was born on Sept. 7, 1929 in Commercial Point, Ohio to the late George and Faye (Hott) Finch. He retired from Don Forrest Trucking, West Jefferson, also was a bus driver for Teays Valley District for 19 years, worked for Winfo Fertilizer at Five Points, and was a farmer. Jim was a member of the Commercial Point Community Men's Club, had been a Scioto Twp. Volunteer Fireman, and attended Scioto Twp. School. Preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Cooper and brother, Alfred G. Finch.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Betsy (Russ) Schumacher of New Mexico and Bobbi (Dale) Blazer of Frankfort; sister Lounell "Tittle" Wilson of Columbus; grandchildren, Hunter Young, Lisa Roarke, and Jeremy Schumacher; 7 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews; also a host of neighbors and special friends. Funeral Service 11: 00 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2014 at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville with Ross Crego officiating. Interment will follow in Beckett Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
