James McNeal Jr. age 76 of Millport, OH passed away on Thurs. Dec. 21, 2017 at Berger Hospital in Circleville, OH. James was born on March 22, 1941 to the late James L. and Blanche (Miller) McNeal in Ashville, OH. James was a 1960 graduate of Harrison Twp. High School and worked for over 25 years for The Village of South Bloomfield Maintenance Dept. James attended Zion United Methodist Church in Ashville and was a social member of Rick Brown Memorial VFW in South Bloomfield and loved to go to auctions.
James is preceded in death by first wife Carole Kay (Murray) McNeal and a brother Charles McNeal.
James is survived by wife Connie S. (Wean) Worthington-McNeal, son James “Buzz” (Amy) McNeal of Stoutsville, daughter Teresa McNeal of South Bloomfield; stepchildren Carla (Jack) Ballard of Commercial Point, Colleen (Tom) Andrews of Thornville, Eric (Shar) Edgington of Ashville and Donnie (Leslie) Worthington of Circleville; grandchildren Colleen, Cheyenne, and Cody; sister Peggy (Brian) Porter of South Bloomfield and numerous step grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wed. Dec. 27, 2017 with Ty Myers and Jim Gregg officiating at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH 43103 with Interment following at Harrison Twp. Cemetery in South Bloomfield, OH. Visitation will be on Tues. Dec. 26, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Zangmeister Cancer Center, 3100 Plaza Properties Blvd.
