James A Tucker

James A. Tucker ,51, of Amanda, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster.   He was born January 14, 1971 in Columbus, Ohio.  James was a truck driver for University Corporation and was proud to have served his country for four years in the United States Marine Corps. James also loved riding his motorcycle and was known to be out on “Mad Sow” whenever he could.  James also loved art, music, his country and most especially his family.

He was preceded in death by his father Arthur L. Tucker.

Survived by his wife of 24 years, Vaneza (Ventura)Tucker; children, Eric Tucker, Philip Tucker, Lanna Tucker and Logan Tucker of Amanda; mother Belinda K. (Deible) Tucker and stepfather Mike Myers of Columbus; brothers and sisters, Rebekah (David) Copeland of Carroll, Patricia (Jeff) Hatem of Sunbury, John (Elizabeth) Tucker of Heath, Jennifer (Arthur) Mead of Elyria, and Benjamin (Crystal) Tucker of Pickerington; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Blessed Hope Bible Church, 9941 OH-752 Ashville, Ohio 43103 with Pastor Todd Hautala officiating.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.  AMVETS Post 2256 will provide Military Rights.  Immediately follow the service the church will provide a meal for the family.  Arrangements by Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, Ashville.  Online condolences to olivercheekfuneralhome.com.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Oliver Cheek Funeral Home.
