Jerry "Jake" Hollenback

Jerry “Jake” Hollenback 81 of Circleville was called Home to be with his Lord and Savior on Fri. Aug. 3, 2018.  He was born on Oct. 15, 1936 to Amos and Gladys (McDowell) Hollenback in Ashville, OH.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Charles “Todd”, sisters Joan and brother-in-law Albert Johnston, Betty Lou and brother-in-law Curtis Scott.   Jerry retired from Buckeye Steel Castings in Columbus and was a U.S. Army Veteran during Korea.

He is survived his wife of 34 years Martha “Marty” M. (Fannin) ; 2 sons, Jerry Jr. (Kim)  of AZ and Robert of FL; grandsons, Christopher of Mt. Vernon, OH , Adam and Joel of AZ; granddaughter Brook of AZ; several great grandchildren; brothers, William “Bill” (Betty) of FL, Dick (Lana) of TN, Danny (Susan) of Grove City; sister Debbie of Columbus; step son Terry Slick; 4 step daughters, Mary Slick, Tammy Peyton, Jolie Raine, and Susan Slick who was also his care giver this past year. He is also survived by step grandchildren Jenny, Shane, Windy, Bobby, Amanda, Becca, Johnathon, and Michael along with many great grandchildren.  Jake had some very special friends and relatives, Phil and Joyce Stewart who were there for him daily. Just to name a few, Mike, Bev, Gary, Anita, Bookie, and Jimmy. He would want to give a special Thanks to our church family for all of their prayers, Pastor William Pellum of Cornerstone Christian Church, Pickaway Township Fire Dept, Fire Chief and his nephew Brian Brown, Berger Hospice, Logan Elm Health Care, Amber and Julie of Constance Care, Kim and Dr. Sellers for years of care.  The family request in lieu of flowers Jake would want donations to the Youth of Cornerstone Christian Church, 1565 North Court St. Circleville, 43113.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sat. Aug. 11, 2018 with Visitation from 11:00a.m. until the time of Service all  at Cornerstone Christian Church 1565 North Court St. Circleville with Pastor William Pellum officiating.   The family is being served by Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, Ashville.
