Jerry A. Morehart

Jerry A. Morehart, age 60, of Ashville, OH, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH. He was the son of the late Richard J and Darlene (Douglas) Morehart. He was born in Columbus, OH on August 15, 1965. He was a graduate of Teays Valley High School, previously served as a Firefighter-EMT at the Harrison Township Fire Department, worked many years for Pizzuti Construction, and was the owner of J.A. Morehart Fire Protection.

Jerry leaves behind his siblings, Rick (Marlene) Morehart and Jim Morehart, both of Ashville, Linda Chaney of Clyde, TX, Cheryl (David) Anderson of Grove City, his twin brother, Jeff (Lisa Fravel) of Hamilton Meadows and Kevin Morehart of Ashville; as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 5 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Service on Monday, July 6 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Floyd Hubbell will offer words of comfort. Burial will take place at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens, Canal Winchester, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to South Bloomfield Methodist Church, 5027 2nd Street W, South Bloomfield, OH, 43103.
