Jesse Donald Prince, 90, of Circleville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 2, 1935, in Kermit, West Virginia, Jesse was the fourth of six children of the late Byrd and Essie (Mead) Prince.
A proud veteran, Jesse served honorably in Europe during the early 1950s, stationed in Germany and England, where he worked as a driver for his commanding officer. After completing his military service, he went on to work for General Motors/Fisher Guide in Columbus, Ohio, where he retired as a Department Supervisor after 35 years of dedicated service.
On July 11, 1959, Jesse married the love of his life, Almeda Charlene Adams. Together, they raised three sons: Gregory Donald (born 1960), Jeffrey Allen (1962–passed), and Trevor Adam (born 1968). In 1971, Jesse and his family made their home in Pickaway County, where he continued to build a life centered around family, hard work, and faith.
Jesse will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to those he loved, his devotion to country, and the strong work ethic that shaped not only his life, but the lives of those who followed. Those who knew him will also remember his quick wit, strong opinions, and the playful way he’d get everyone up and moving. We’re certain that in heaven, he’s already interrupting Jeff’s nap, telling him it’s time to get to work, with Almeda nearby to keep them both in line.
In addition to his parents, Jesse was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Almeda Charlene (Adams) Prince; their son, Jeffrey Allen Prince; and all of his siblings: Junior “Byrd” Prince, George Prince, Euna “Lena” Prince-Marcum, Thomas “Tommy” Prince, and one sibling who passed in childhood.
He is survived by his sons, Gregory (Johnna) Prince and Trevor (Amy) Prince, and his eldest son, Jessie (Bo) Trail. He leaves behind a legacy carried on by his grandchildren: Jessica "Jessie" Marie (Jorge) Rosas, Elizabeth “Beth” Ann Prince, Samantha "Sammy" Kay (Matt) Hardbarger, Timothy "Tim" Dagon (Brittney), Kathleen Renee “Kat” Prince, Cassandra “Casey” Dawn (Bryan) Preston, Taylor Lebess Prince, Brandon Michael Rickey, Courtenay Lynn Miller, and Amanda Dawn Miller; as well as numerous great-grandchildren who will continue to carry his spirit forward.
