Jo Ann Echelbarger

Jo Ann Echelbarger, 73 of Ashville, OH passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Grant Medical Center ER in Columbus, OH.  Jo Ann was born on August 15, 1951 in Columbus, OH and was a 1969 graduate of Teays Valley High School.  She worked as a Financial Specialist for Nationwide Insurance in Columbus for over 30 years.  Jo Ann was a member of South Bloomfield Methodist Church, Pickaway Co. Senior Center, TOPS, and Exercise Drumming.  She was a faithful blood donor and had received a 50-gallon lifetime donor award.  Jo Ann loved to keep mementos of her family’s achievements, was proud of their academics/awards and always supported her children’s sports activities and anything they were involved in.  She enjoyed cake decorating and her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving.

Jo Ann is survived by her husband Stanley Echelbarger; son William (Tasha) Rogers, daughter Earlene (Jeff) Romine, stepson Dennis Echelbarger, stepdaughter Diana (Paul) Cart; grandchildren Olivia, Dominic and Grace Roger, Trevor, Ryan and Ella Romine, Bradley, Zachary, Austin, and Spencer Cart and Morgan Harper; Jo’s mother Rose Petrasio Roese; sisters Katherine (Earl) Criswell and Angie (Karl) Finley; niece Karla (Kurt) Thaxton; nephews Lee (Angie) Finley and Ralph (Sarah) Criswell.  Jo Ann is preceded in death by her father Earl Lee Roese.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, October 24th at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH 43103 and from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 25th at South Bloomfield Methodist Church, 5027 W. Second St. South Bloomfield, OH 43103 where Pastor Floyd Hubbell will officiate.  Interment will follow at Harrison Township Cemetery, South Bloomfield.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church or to American Red Cross by giving blood or to: 120 E.
