Joanne F (O'Keefe) Scott

Joanne F (O’Keefe) Scott, age 76, of Ashville, passed away on Sunday, Aug 21, 2016.  She was born Dec 25, 1939 in Lewisburg, PA to the late Joseph and Eva (Fahlman) O’Keefe.  Joanne attended Unioto schools but graduated from Catholic Central H.S. of Chillicothe and then Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in Dayton.  She worked as an RN and retired from Chillicothe Correctional & VA and then earned her CDL and drove a truck with her husband for several years.

Joanne is survived by her husband of 27yrs Richard K Scott; children, Mark (Tonya) Minney of Circleville, Bradley (Danielle McNish) Minney of Bainbridge, Richard Scott Jr. of Johnstown, Don (Diane) Scott of Alexandria, D.J.(Tonya) Tharp of Newark, Heather Massey of OK; grandchildren, Gabriel Minney, Ashley Minney, Robin Hochstetler, Hailey Jo Minney, Jessica Minney, Brandon Gaines, Stephanie and Spencer Scott, Jake and Madison Rule, Skylar and Ethan Tharp; great grandchildren; Rylee and Harper, brother Terry (Diane) O’Keefe of Erie, PA, sister Sheila (Jim) Gee of Circleville, OH, beloved pets JJ and Hoppy, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Following Joanne’s wishes cremation and no memorial service will take place.  Burial will occur at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in memory of Joanne to the American Cancer Society, National Kidney Foundation, or Stefanie Spielman fund for breast cancer research.  Arrangements were made by Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 West Main Street, Ashville, Ohio, and online condolences can be left at OLIVER-CHEEKFUNERALHOME.COM.
