Joellen Gregg

Joellen Gregg, age 70, of Millport, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Mount Carmel Grove City. Joellen is the daughter of the late Herbert L. and Donna Jean (Smith) Gregg. She was a 1973 graduate of Teays Valley High School.

She graduated from Ohio State Barber College in 1984 and spent many years as a barber, where she built lasting relationships with those she served. In more recent years, she embraced her favorite role of all—being a full-time grandmother. She was a devoted coffee lover, a passionate sports fan, and could often be found soaking up the sunshine. She cherished time spent with her siblings and family, creating memories filled with laughter and love. An old soul with a young heart, she had a remarkable way of making everyone around her feel welcome, valued, and deeply loved.

She leaves behind her children, Jessica Gregg and Josh (Jessie) Anderson; grandchildren, Kerbey, Denton, Graham, Sawyer, Stella and Marshal; siblings, James L. (Jackie) Gregg, Jennifer (Frank) Welsh, Virginia L. Haupt, Lynne M. (Mike) Roof, Hazel L. (Terry) Noggle, Christopher J. Gregg; special nieces, Diane Gregg and Shazelle Halstead; special friend, Melanie Hoover Willeford and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Joellen is preceded in death by her brother, William H. Gregg, sister in-law, Martha Gregg, and sisters Maggie Gregg and Nancy Gregg.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 14 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. followed by a time of remembrance led by the family, at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, Ohio. Condolences can be shared with the family at olivercheekfuneralhome.com
