Johnda M (Hollis) Pettibone

Johnda M. (Hollis) Pettibone, 95 of South Bloomfield, OH passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024 at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, OH.  She was born September 16, 1929 in Ashville, OH to the late John and Belva (Mooney) Hollis.   A 1947 graduate of Ashville Harrison H.S. and years ago she was a school secretary at the former Ashville Harrison H.S. Johnda was a member of the South Bloomfield Methodist Church, she was a loving mother and grandmother.  Johnda was also one of the longest living residents of South Bloomfield.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence  Pettibone, son Craig Pettibone, granddaughter Traci Blanton, son-in-law Fred Myers, and sister Marilyn Pettibone.

Survived by daughters Vicky (Mike) Basham and Holly Myers; grandchildren Kami Irvin, Breck (Heather) Blanton, Staci Brown, Shawn (Lindsay) Frazier, Megan (Andrew) Howell, Amber Basham, and Kandi (Josh) Kirk; great grandchildren Ashton Blanton, Ashlee Irvin, Tyler Blanton, Taylor Wallace, Hunter Blanton, Brandon Blanton, Colin Johnson, Seth Johnson, Chloe Brown, Blake Howell, and  Parker Howell; several great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 5th at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville from 5-7 p.m. with a Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Floyd Hubbell officiating.  Burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Harrison Township Cemetery.  The family request in lieu of flowers contributions should be made to: South Bloomfield Methodist Church, 5027 W.
