Johnie W Daniel

Johnie W.  Daniel 83 of Columbus, OH and formerly of Logan, passed away Jan. 1, 2021 at The Inn at Winchester Trail, Canal Winchester.   He was born on Aug. 14, 1937 in Lowmansville, KY to the late Roscoe and Bertha (Fields) Daniel.

Johnie entered the military at an early age in 1955 and served the U.S. Army and retired from the U.S. Navy.   He also retired from the former DCSC in Columbus as a computer programmer after 25 years.  A lifetime member of NRA and enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, Gardening and Ginseng Hunting.  He was a member of Pleasant Valley Church in Ray, OH.

Preceded in death by his wife Edith Jean (Lemaster); brothers Winfield, Winston, Grady, Roscoe, and Denny Daniel.

Survived by daughters Shellia (Steven) Allen and Stellia Bateman; sister Gracie; grandchildren Joshua Daniel, Travis Daniel, Brendan Daniel, Phillip Allen, and Lucas Allen; numerous nieces and nephews

Visitation will be held on Sat. Jan. 9, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville 43103 with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating.  Interment will follow at Harrison Township Cemetery, South Bloomfield.  Due to COVID-19, masks and social distancing are encouraged.
