Juanita Faye Fields

Juanita Faye Fields, age 89, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024 at home surrounded by her family in Ashville, OH. Born February 1, 1935, in Logan, WV, she was the oldest daughter of Jacob and Georgia Fields. Juanita and her husband, Jink Fields (deceased), were married on November 17, 1957, and have 4 children. Juanita is survived by her children Mike Fields (Jim Durieux), Gloria Watters, Vivian Fields, and Julie Gill (Jim); grandchildren Crystal Billman (Thaddeus), John Watters (Michelle), Kateland Gill (Justin Adair), Casey Gill, Amber Lanctot (Dan) and 9 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, mother, and siblings Harold Fields, Lawrence Fields, Freda Thacker, Glenda (Fran) Reese, Marie Martin, Virgil Fields, and Patricia Lahrmer-Cordell.

She was a member of the Marie L. Hamilton Order of Eastern Star in Circleville, OH and was an active advisor for the DeMolay and Rainbow Girls, working many hours baking pumpkin pies during the Circleville Pumpkin Show. Juanita happily worked many years as the bookkeeper for her brother-in-law’s gas station and auto service center in Columbus, OH. From there she worked at Riverside Methodist Hospital in the Radiology Department file room. She was loved and respected by the many physicians, patients and colleagues with whom she interacted until her retirement.

Arrangements are being held by Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St., Ashville, OH where the family will receive friends on Thursday, December 26th from 12 p.m. Noon until 2:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service at 2 p.m.  Interment will follow at Harrison Township Cemetery, 5001 S. Union St., South Bloomfield, OH.
