Karyn K Brown

Karyn K Brown, age 77, of Circleville, OH, entered into eternal rest, on Friday, June 19, 2026. She was born on August 8, 1948, in Columbus to the late Ernest M. and Willodine (Eisnaugle) Reeb. She was a 1966 graduate of Marion Franklin High School, earned a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University and a master’s in education from the Ohio State University. Karyn was employed as a teacher at the Southwestern City School District. She was a member of the First English Lutheran Church in Ashville, involved in the Pickaway County Master Gardeners, and was a former member of the South Central Power Scholarship Committee.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Richard Brown; grandparents, Dorothy Eisnaugle Hertenstein, Raymond and Evelyn Reeb.

She leaves behind her children, Laura (Donald) Lamb and Jeffrey James; grandchildren, Alyssa (John) Essman, Joshua Lamb (Hilary Kordecki), Mykenzie James (Michael Gattuso) Collin James and Kaden James; great-grandchild, Arthur Lewis Essman; siblings, Patti (William) Danison, Ernest (Linda) Reeb Jr. and Daniel (Terri) Reeb; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Anita, Michelle, Matt and other nurses who cared for Karyn.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, Ashville, followed by a Funeral Service on July 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Grace Werzinske offering words of comfort. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to National Church Residences Hospice, 5475 Rings Road, Suite 300, Dublin, OH 43017.
