Lawrence Eugene Hayes Sr.

Lawrence Eugene Hayes Sr. 94 of Ashville, OH passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Grove City Senior Living.  He was born on November 7, 1929 to the late Oscar and Mattie (Fugitt) Hayes in Columbus, OH.  Lawrence had worked as a machine operator at Luster Ware Plastics.  He loved the outdoors enjoying hunting and gardening.

Lawrence is preceded in death by wife Joan (Bobst) Hayes in 1997; brothers Oscar Hayes Jr. and Martin (Mart) Hayes, brother-in-law John Danner.

He is survived by children Lawrence “Gene” (Carol) Hayes Jr. of Ashville, Penny (Edison) Roberts of Clarksburg, Diana (Brian) Kirk of Lockbourne; grandchildren Helen Righman, Heather Scott, Amy Neal, Carrie Angles, Sarah Inks, Brian Kirk Jr. Phillip Kirk, Rita Kirk, Matthew Kirk, Mindy Fitch; numerous great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; siblings Walter (Vivian) Hayes, JoMarie Danner, Charlie (Stella) Hayes, Rose Ann (John) Hickey and Linda (Jim) Boyer.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, December 10th with Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 11th at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W.
