Leslee Kaye (Melvin) Hott

Leslee Kaye (Melvin) Hott, 82 of Orient, OH passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Mount Carmel Grove City.  Kaye was born on August 21, 1942 to the late Leslie E. and Georgia M. (Carter) Melvin in Urbana, OH.  She was a 1960 graduate of Scioto Township School and was a homemaker.  She enjoyed hats, crocheting, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, shopping, auctions and talking.

Besides her parents, Kaye was preceded in death by husband of 57 years William “Bill” M. Hott in 2021; brother Terry Melvin; infant siser Julie Ann; sister Doris Green; brothers-in-law Robert Hott, Dennis Green and Willi Green.

Kaye is survived by children Troy Hott and Kelli Brigner of Orient; grandchildren Joey (April) Brigner of Orient, Kaysy (William) Brigner Cox of Orient, Cede (Kenny) Pennington of Orient; great grandchildren LeeAnna, Dallas, Carson, Octavia, Charlee, Caroline, Mackenzie, Zaden “Zeke” and Kora Jo; siblings Candy (Bily) Rice, Teddy (Kay) Melvin and Melody Green; sister-in-law Georgia Hott; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, September 22nd at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH 43103.  A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 23rd with Pastor Brian Dunham presiding at Beckett Cemetery in Commercial Point.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help with expenses to: Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home.
