Madge Elizabeth Hines Triance, 93, of Ashville, passed away September 7, 2025. She was the daughter of Clarence Robert Hines and Maud Elizabeth Logsdon Hines. Born on a farm in Madison Township, November 5, 1931, she spent 67 years living in Duvall.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert and Orlan Hines; sister, Mary Ellen Hines Hinkle; daughter-in-law, April Egbert Triance; grand-daughter, Lisa Marie Triance.
Madge is survived by her husband of almost 75 years, John Albert Triance. Their children were planning a party for their 75th Wedding Anniversary on October 14th.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by Daughter, Sally (Luther) Hafey of Ashville; Son, Tim (Barbara) Triance of Grove City; Grandson, Matthew (Mindy) Hafey of Orient; Granddaughter, Robin Hafey of Elgin, SC; Step-granddaughter, Christi Rose (Paul Hunt) of Hilliard; Great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Hafey (Spencer Worth) of Morristown, IN; Two great-grandsons, Ryan Leigh, U.S. Coast Guard and Rexton Leigh of Elgin SC; Step great-granddaughters Britney Neil (Evan Botknech) of Hilliard and Ashton Anderson of Orient; Step great-grandsons, Bradon Rumpel and Brodie Rumpel of Grove City; One great-great-grandson, Sawyer Worth of Morristown, IN and one step great-great grandson James Hennessey of Hilliard; Very dear friends, the Welt family, Howard, Marilyn, Gordon and Monica and many nephews and nieces.
Madge graduated from Ashville Harrison High School in 1949. She had been a longtime member of both, Daughters of the American Revolution and Colonial Dames of the 17th Century. She spent many years volunteering at Lutheran Social Services Food Pantry in Columbus. She and John spent many winters in Miami. While there, she worked as the pastry chef at the Biscayne Bay Yacht Club. She was a lifelong member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 10th from 5 to 8 pm Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH 43103. Celebration of Life will be held at Bethel Lutheran Church, 4501 Hoover Road, Grove City, OH 43123 on Thursday. September 11th at 10:00 am. Her niece, the Reverend Dr. Mary Shore of Brevard, NC and the Reverend Peter Ray of Bethel Lutheran Church will conduct the service. Interment will be at Fernwood Cemetery, 460 Rowe Rd, Lockbourne, OH 43137.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Ashville Food Pantry, 20 Church St., Ashville, OH 43103.
