Marilyn Joan (Hollis) Pettibone, age 83 of So. Bloomfield, Ohio passed away Wed. June 24, 2015 at Genisis Care Center, Circleville, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Jan. 6,. 1932 in Ashville, Ohio, daughter of the late John and Belva Mooney Hollis. She graduated Valedictorian of the Class of 1949, Ashville-Harrison High School. She retired as a food service dietician for the State of Ohio. Member of the So. Bloomfield UMC and the Ashville-Harrison Alumni. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Robert L. Pettibone. She is survived by her children, Janice (John) Zeimer, Ft. Myers, FL, Sherry (Jim) Estep, So. Bloomfield, Kevin (Leigh) Pettibone, Panama City, FL, Trent Pettibone (Brian Nyland) Columbus, Brent Pettibone (Raymond Glenn) Columbus, Jami (Tony) McComas, Stoutsville; grandchildren, Amy Shoffstall, Heather Wilson, Blythe Carpenter, Damon Wilson, Bart Pettibone, Preston Vance, Austin Pettibone, Drake McComas, Payton McComas, Kaylee Pettibone, and Kevin Pettibone Jr.; great grandchildren, Tyler Wilson, Cory Wilson, Keyan Wilson, CJ Gregg, Paige Wilson, Aieden Wilson, Tressa Carpenter, Braelyn Carpenter, Audee Carpenter, and Alexis Detty, Brooklyn, Max, and Lily Pettibone; sister, Johnda Pettibone, So. Bloomfield; brother-in-law, Tommy Pettibone; “special daughter” Allene Smith; Numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Mon. June 29, 2015 at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, Ashville, Ohio. Pastor Floyd Hubbell and Pastor Don Seymour will officiate. The family will receive friends 1-4 and 6-8 PM Sun. June 28, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Harrison Twp. Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the So. Bloomfield UMC Building Fund, 5027 Second St. So. Bloomfield, Ohio 453103. Special thanks to Pastor Hubbell, Pastor Seymour, Heartland Hospice and Genisis Nursing Staff for their kind assistance during mothers illness.
