Marlene C. (Lee) Erpelding, age 77, of Ashville, OH, formerly of Belleville, WI, passed away in hospice care for cancer at her home on Monday, November 21, 2016.  Marlene was born December 2, 1938, in rural Kellogg, MN, to the late Michael and Catherine (Marking) Lee.  She had worked at New Glarus Nursing Home as a cook and had attended the former St. Marys Catholic Church (St. Francis of Assisi) in Belleville. Marlene enjoyed going to the Pickaway County Senior Center three days a week.  She was a graduate of Plainview High School in Plainview, MN. She was an excellent cook and gardener; her amaryllises were out of this world. She also had a special fondness for animals and the lottery.

Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Erpelding; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Joe Moore; brother, Don Lee; brothers-in-law, Don Erpelding and Ron Erdmann; and sister-in-law, Rita Erdmann.   She is survived by daughter, Susan A. Withers of Ashville, OH; sons, Randy Erpelding of Minnesota and Jerry Erpelding of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Ashley N. Moore (Matt McCoy) of Ray, OH , Emily C. Moore of Cleveland, Adam Withers of Ashville, and Jane Luxton of WI; 2 great grandchildren, Malaya and Ivan Conley; brothers, Duane Lee (Maxine Sims); Gary (Joan) Lee; Larry (Terry) Lee; sister, Jan (Ed) Hansgen; sisters-in-law, Gini Lee and Mary Ann Erpelding –all of MN, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, November 26, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Raphael's  Frenchtown Cemetery in Belleville, WI, with Father Mick Moon officiating.   Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, Ashville, Ohio, is assisting the family with arrangements.
