Matthew Wilburn, Sr.

Matthew O. Wilburn Sr. 45 of Ashville passed away on Friday, Aug. 25, 2023, at Circleville Post Acute Care.  He was born in Circleville, Ohio to the late Kenneth and Lula (Smith) Wilburn.  Matt was employed as a welder for the railroad for over 20 years and was always very adamant about being on time.  He attended Marion-Franklin H.S. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Terry.

He is survived by wife Amanda; son Matthew O. Wilburn, Jr.; brother Hank Wilburn; like brother Hank Miller; best friend Jerry Music; a special cousin Ruth Hall; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, from 5-8 p.m. at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home 420 W. Main St. Ashville.  A Graveside Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2023, in Harrison Township Cemetery, South Bloomfield, with Pastor Steve Rauch officiating.  Online condolences at olivercheekfuneralhome.com
