Michael L. Madden, 77 of Ashville, OH passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Pickering House in Lancaster, OH. He was born on February 19, 1947 to the late Robert A. and Edith (Kitchen) Madden in Chillicothe, OH. He served in the U.S. Navy and worked for Columbus Fire Dept. for 26 years as a firefighter and later an arson investigator. He was a member of Rick Brown VFW Post 7941in South Bloomfield, a member of American Legion Post 144 on So. High St. Columbus, and a member of St Paul Lutheran Church, Ashville.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years Lori A. (Hinz) Madden; sons Michael W. Madden, John P. Madden, Timothy R. (Elizabeth) Madden, Thomas N. (Michelle) Madden; numerous grandchildren; sisters Helen Jo Madden and Vicki Grant; brother-in-law Neal (Benda) Hinz; sister-in-law Carol (Jon) Knapp; special friend Dave Thompson; 23 AFS Exchange Students that had lived with he and Lori, including Murilo V. Carra.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, June 1st from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 6046 St. Paul Rd.
